Security Systems Engineer Role (Fire and Security)


DCS Recruitment currently seek a security systems engineer, ideally based within the West Yorkshire area, on behalf of a solutions providor, specialising in the design, installation and support of commercial Fire and Security solutions to organisations throughoutthe UK.


Salary
£32,000-36,000 per annum - DOE

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Job Role & Skills


This role offers the opportunity to join a progressive organisation in their continued growth, servicing and maintaining fire and security systems throughout the UK.

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:


  • Service and maintenance of Security and Fire based systems at client's commercial sites around the UK, this includes for working within HMP establishments & MOD sites
  • Carrying out duties in line with both SSAIB and BAFE requirements
  • Offering technical advice and support
  • Ensuring all work aspects carried out are to a professional high standard
  • Promote good internal working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Participate in a 24/7 on call rota and to work overtime as required
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience of installation, service, and commissioning of fire and security systems including IP/Analogue CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire detection, and network infrastructure
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence and be willing to travel
  • Possess strong communication skills to enable effective working relationships with clients, peers, and line management
  • Be enthusiastic, analytical and adaptable, so as to confidently be able diagnose problems and advise suitable solutions
  • Demonstrate organisational ability
  • ECS/CNCI/CNIDP/C&G certification and/or previous security clearance are all advantageous, though not essential_

Additional Information
OOH and weekend working, working at other sites, and staying overnight, may be required on occasion.
