Technical Delivery Lead

Northampton


As a Barclays Technical Delivery Lead, you will be leading and managing the delivery of digital solutions at the front of an agile development team consisting of solution architect, analyst, development and platform engineering roles.

On a daily basis, you will work with Digital product owners and stakeholders to prioritise and shape the business outcomes and provide technical insights, leadership and delivery excellence.

In your new role you will also help in coaching less experienced team members on delivery techniques.

What will you be doing?:


  • Working with the Product Owner and Development team to coordinate the agile events
  • Driving the team to maximise the value we are creating
  • Supporting continuous improvement of the development and delivery practices and processes
  • Monitoring and managing quality
  • Acting as an agile coach to guide the team through agile practices such as story points estimation, iteration planning and continuous delivery
  • Allowing stakeholders to understand how the team works to help them get the most out of their interactions with the team

What we're looking for:


  • Substantial experience of leading E2E delivery management of technical changes
  • Excellent experience in Agile led methodologies
  • Demonstrable ability to build and lead a cohesive and selfreliant team
  • Ability to have excellent stakeholder management at all levels

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Knowledge of DevOps techniques
  • Ability to manage across different geographies and time zones
  • Knowledge of complex feature backlog management and competing priorities

Where will you be working?

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton.

Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
