Senior Commercial Analyst - Edinburgh

Change Recruitment Group are working with a leading Retail Bank who are looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join their team.

As the Senior Commercial Analyst, you provide commercial analysis for aspects of a product, service or channel. This may focuson pricing, income generation, monitoring performance and monitoring success.

Key responsibilities:

Use data from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business
Interpret commercial results and provide insights and recommendations on commercial trends
Help managers make effective decisions based on the data, and ensure they are clear on the implications
Risk Management, ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks by using risk management systems to achieve specific goals within a designated area of the business
Contribute to own area of work and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements
Contribute to business cases to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment
Develop optimisation models and intelligence for pricing of existing and new products based on historical data, market data, and input of commercial teams
Contribute to the development of annual and longerterm business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliverperformance targets

Key skills and requirements:

Degree educated ideally within a numeric discipline (e.g. mathematics or statistics)
Strong commercial analysis experience within a financial services organisation
Working knowledge of SAS would be an advantage
Strong data analytics skills
Ability to recognise trends, communicate insights and recommendations to the business
