Location:
Home based, but travel is expected to cover Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years.

We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help.

We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our children and families directorate, which works to provide one-to-one support for children and young people who require Advocacy.

who urgently need support across Cheshire East and Cheshire West.

Most importantly, you will enable the children and young people we support to be able to express their views on matters important to them and issues which affect their lives.

We are currently looking for a skilled practitioner to join our dynamic and ambitious team.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

  • To manage your own case load and provide information, advice, advocacy, representation and effective support.
  • To contribute to and develop participation and consultation methods to enable children and young people, particularly those with complex needs and communication difficulties, to be effectively included in the work of the service.
  • To work in partnership with multiagencies to effectively share information, safeguard children and young people from harm and promote the support that is offered by the service.

The Children's Society runs over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need our support, and we campaign to get laws and policies changed to make children's lives happier and safer.

Every day we're changing the lives of children in this country for the better - and with your help, tomorrow we can be there for even more.

**Interviews will be held on the week commencing 27th of February.
