Salary:
up to £24,886.37 per annum


The Progression Support Team works with the academic, student experience and academic personal tutor teams in Durham University International Study Centre to prepare international students to progress and thrive at Durham University through successful completion of their programme.

Responsibilities include data management, reporting, student support, and policy communication. Collaborate with academic and student experience teams to ensure international students thrive at Durham University. Provide transition management and explore alternative options for students unable to progress.


ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Support team processes to achieve progression targets
  • Handle enquiries from students, staff, and visitors
  • Assist in managing student progression data, analysis, and reporting
  • Develop student materials for the Virtual Learning Environment
  • Facilitate feedback processes and communicate results to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other teams to provide holistic student support
  • Guide students on progression requirements and course options
  • Organise engagement and transition activities, represent the team at events
  • Support endofprogramme activities for students not meeting progression requirements
  • Develop transition activities for students meeting progression requirements
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Team for event promotion on social media
  • Contribute to improving team processes
  • Provide administrative support during meetings.

ABOUT YOU

  • Level 3 qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience working in administration (Essential)
  • Event management experience (Desirable)
  • Experience working with students in an education environment (Essential)
  • Excellent customer service skills (Essential)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular, advanced Word and Excel skills (Essential)
  • Meticulous attention to detail (Essential)
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills (Essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills (Essential)
