Description

Responsibilities:

Upholster furniture pieces according to specifications and customer requirements
Measure, cut, and sew fabric or leather materials to fit furniture frames
Attach padding, springs, and webbing to furniture frames
Install finished upholstery onto furniture frames using hand tools and power tools
Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments

Experience:

Previous experience as an upholsterer or in a related field preferred
Knowledge of upholstery techniques and materials
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus

Skills:

Proficient in using power tools for cutting, drilling, and fastening
Ability to sew fabric or leather materials using industrial sewing machines
Knowledge of different types of upholstery fabrics and their characteristics
Experience in assembling furniture frames and attaching upholstery materials
Familiarity with various hand tools used in upholstery work
