Head of Supply Chain £70k to £90k

Overview of Head of Supply Chain role:
A fast-growth business which develops smart technology reducing energy costs, tackling climate change and helping people live better.

The business mass markets several products in the UK and overseas, with a goal to provide a clear path to transition from fossil fuel heating to low and zero carbon alternatives.

To support our continuing fast growth, we are looking for a proactive and dynamic Head of Supply Chains to ensure that the business can scale to its full potential.

This role will include.

Negotiating key, high value, supply agreements with UK based and overseas manufacturers which deliver reliable, high quality and timely fulfilment
Work with theengineering team to reduce the cost of our product lines through smart procurement whilst ensuring we maintain a resilient and scalable supply chain
Working with contract electronic manufacturers to identify critical components that need to be managed whilst evaluating options to source large batch quantities whilst maintaining supply continuity
Evaluate sources of mechanical components to ensure we're securing best prices

The successful Head of Supply Chain will demonstrate/have:

An extensive background in global engineering supply chains with an ability to negotiate good terms with key suppliers
Good experience forecasting and planning for supply chain demand
An ability to build and manage partnerships within the supply chain network
An appreciation of the importance of supply agreements with respect to working capital and warranty liability risks and incoterms
Experience of BOM structures and how these are implemented within MRP systems
A track record of delivering significant cost and efficiency savings without compromising on product quality or continuity of supply
A willingness to visit manufacturing suppliers to evaluate quality, diligence stock hygiene and solve problems that arise from time to time
