An exciting opportunity has arisen for a medical photographer to join the Dermatology Team at Beckenham Beacon Hospital on a fixed term contract.


This is a newly-created post and we are seeking an experienced medical photographer who will be responsible for developing the teledermatology service.

We are in the process of setting up a teledermatology service, in collaboration with other South-East London dermatology departments. The post holder will play a central role in this new service.


The post holder will need to undertake a range of clinical photography activities without supervision and be responsible for the day to day running of the service.

They will need to have a good range of clinical photography skills, which can be applied in studio, hospital and teledermatology settings.

To provide a comprehensive range of photographic documentation to support clinical departments within the Trust.


The post holder will undertake a range of clinical photographic activities without supervision and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service.


The post holder will be able to treat patients and clients with appropriate sensitivity and empathy, and possess the ability to be able to cope with taking close up images of wounds and other medical conditions.


The post holder will be an experienced and technically skilled photographer who is able to produce high quality images which will be used by clinicians as an essential tool for comparing treatment responses and for skin cancer management, and all other medical conditions as well as for teaching and legal purposes.


The post holder is expected to gain a familiarity with a wide spectrum of medical disorders and know the anatomical planes dividing the human body.
