JCL Consulting is a small business in Beckenham, BR3 3LA established in 2004.
We provide business and referral support services for a number of Primary Eyecare Companies and Local Optical Committees in London, South East and South West England.
We are currently a team of 7 looking to expand as our business grows.As we are a small team, there are lots of opportunities to work across a range of areas and develop great skills and experience.
Duties:
To assist the Operations Manager in co-ordinating the running of optometric Community Services across London and Kent.
We are seeking an Operations Assistant to help with the running of the day to day management of a number of Community Services
The role will include checking compliance of practices, receiving and processing data to produce reports for commissioners and to performance manage optician practices.
It will also include, for a number of services, the operation of a Single Point of Access which will process in-bound and out-bound referrals.
This will involve receiving referrals from a variety of sources, entering details onto a database, converting files to a single format, and sending for triage.
On receipt of the triage decision, patients will either be referred on to hospital or into our service with details being uploaded onto an IT platform and mail merged letters being sent to patients.
You will be required to liaise with optometric and GP practices and with patients when required.
You will need a good customer service focus and a good level of IT skills especially Excel along with the ability to juggle competing workloads.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, in particular excel
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently
- NHS experience/knowledge of optometry/ophthalmology is a plus
Salary:
£23,400.00 per year
