SUMMARY
Pinnacle is seeking a Telematics Installation Engineer to perform the installation and maintenance of telematics on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and commercial vehicles located at airports.
This is a customer-facing position and the person performing this role must operate professionally and have the appropriate customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation and decommission of telematics equipment on GSE and commercial vehicles
- Diagnosis, repair, and replacement of installed telematics equipment
- FirstofClass installations to develop/validate installation specifications
- Upgrade and modification of telematics equipment
- Installation of firmware/software on telematics devices using a laptop
- Ensure all company property is safeguarded, maintained, and returned.
- Registers telematics equipment on the iMATS system
- Performs installation to Pinnacle's best practice requirements and industry standards
- Identify and manage risks/hazards in own working environment, escalating where necessary.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the business to meet resolutions for the customer.
- Operates in accordance with Pinnacle's Field Service quality processes and updates internal systems with the required information.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent customerfacing skills
- 3+ years' experience installation of telematics tracking systems (desirable)
- 3+ years' experience in a field servicebased role (desirable)
- Ability to fit telematics to FCS 1362 and other appropriate standards
- Ability to read/understand electrical schematic and perform fault finding
- Formal electrical qualification related to the automotive industry (desirable)
- Previously had airport airside pass (desirable)
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/REQUIREMENTS:
- Full driving license with no more than 3 points
- Must be eligible for airside passes for all UK Airports
- Must pass the airside driving test
- Some overseas, weekend, and evening work may be required from timetotime
Working Pattern
Our Installation Engineers work 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday onsite with administration days at home.
Flexible working hours will be required if the work cannot be completed between these times, or if a customer requires the work to be completed over a weekend.
