We're currently recruiting for a Data Specialist for an initial 3 Month Contract for our HE Client's research programme in Edinburgh.

The role will require hybrid working of 2 days in the Central Edinburgh office and 3 from home.

The role sits within a team responsible for growing and developing the University's research support ecosystem, with approximately 10-15 members.


Rate:
£ Per Day (DOE)

Inside IR35 (Umbrella)


Main requirements:


  • A data specialist required to 'dig deep' to understand our current Research Support data model
  • Ability to engage with key areas of research support to interpret 'raw' data and turn it into enhanced usable patterns for decision making and reporting purposes
  • Ability to understand where data is consumed
  • Ability to identify master sources of Data and the relationship / alignment to reporting and decision making needs
  • Ability to understand what these patterns will mean in terms of benefits to research support, organisational needs and able communicate findings and recommendations in an easy to understand style
  • Able to define a set of data designs and data reporting road maps in order to achieve our enhanced decision making ambitions for Research Support
