Job Description Summary:

The objective of the role is to support the GSI Global Sourcing team in managing the overall spend for the Team across the ERCIS, NAM and META.

This is a highly visible sourcing role, that requires strategic vision, result delivery, project and stakeholder's management skills. The intern will work closely with the Business Stakeholders to deliver projects and initiatives across the region.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support Sourcing expertise in our Inquiry to Order (ITO) opportunity preparation & optimization
  • Manage a vendor list based on Global Sourcing strategy for Electrical Portfolio
  • Coordinate suppliers' meetings when needed
  • Facilitate and support Global Commodity initiative ( Mapping, Supplier capability Matrix ,,etc)
  • Identify risk & opportunities during ITO opportunity preparation
  • Supports Global Commodity / Leader Sourcing leader during the execution and Tender stage
  • Support the Commodity digital tools (Oscar, ITO Config, vendor Panel, Sourcing Portal, Data Cost Base)
  • Help to perform some metrics to the commodity that will help to improve performance
  • Support to facilitate working rhythm across regions for Electrical portfolio

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages a plus
  • Graduate or placement student of Bachelors degree (Business or relevant), or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Excellent understanding of key business processes and organizational dynamics
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confident Excel, Power Point, Word knowledge
