HRP Education is seeking passionate and experienced educators to provide high-quality mentoring and tutoring to students with special educational needs.

As an SEN Tutor, you will positively impact the well-being and development of young people aged 3 to 18, helping them fulfil their potential and overcome learning challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Establish positive relationships with students to boost their selfesteem and confidence
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications or experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Tutoring experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (must be on the update service)
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Resilience and a good sense of humour
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (minimum 1 year)
  • Diploma of Higher Education or equivalent

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Zero hours contract (Fulltime, Parttime, Freelance)
  • Salary: £27.50£30.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 525 per week
  • Location: Telford, West Midlands (with travel to student locations)
