As Security Operations/Controller/Duty Planner, you will ensure a highly effective and efficient Security Operations Centre (SOC) that operates 24/7/365, in accordance with the RGS SOP Standard Operation Procedures and in alignment with applicable British Standards and Legislation.
A bit about the role
As Security Operations/Controller/Duty Planner you will:
- Assist with the day to day monitoring and integration of all key systems alarms, travel, media, social media, building management, fire safety, across all locations
- Responsible for the centralised incident reporting and escalation. Responding effectively to incidents and escalations.
- Develop and establish the SOP policy, procedures, standards and measurements, across all key locations and subsidiary control rooms
- Lead on innovation by implementing controls and measures that reduce staff in all key locations
- To be able to follow SOP procedures, embedding and owning a positive culture and awareness, across all locations
- Establish solid and collaborative working relationships with all staff including management.
- Build effective relationships with all relevant external parties: Police, National Crime Agency, Crime Prevention agencies and collaborate with other organisations in identifying and sharing good practice
- Must have 5 year checkable work history
A bit about you
- A leader, who is naturally pragmatic, enthusiastic and motivational. You are able to ability to influence and inspire change when necessary
- Experienced. You have a background in developing and embedding effective security strategies in a retail environment as well as SOC policies and procedures
- A great communicator. Able to work under sometimes under pressure, manage and engage people at every level of our business, influencing change where necessary
- Qualified. Do you you have front line or none SIA licence (willing to get one)
- Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance in times of crisis
- Proficient with IT, security systems and other communications
- Knowledgeable. You have a full understanding of compliance with all associate statutory regulations and legislation

Salary:
£17,941.78-£24,574.98 per year
Expected hours:
No less than 36 per week

Education:
