The post holder will predominantly be delivering examinations and administration related to OHID dental epidemiology studies, as well oral health education within the community under the guidance of the epidemiology supervisor.

The post holder will be qualified to provide a clinical treatment service, appropriate to the role of a dental therapist as defined by the GDC Scope of Practice.

The role may require supporting teaching activities on the Postgraduate and Undergraduate clinical placements through the Uclan School of Dentistry.

Applicants will need to have a Diploma in Dental therapy and evidence of registration with the GDC. A BSc in Dental therapy is desirable.

Applicants will need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview and must be able to calibrate against the north west regional standard following training in August / September 2023.

This position is based in Preston.
