Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute team at Winchester Hospital.

We are looking for a Band 4 Therapy Practitioner to join our established, friendly and experienced team based in the Acute adult inpatient team.

You will have the opportunity to work in the following areas:
General Medicine, Elderly Care, Acute Medical Unit and Surgery.


You will be supporting our Occupational Therapists to provide acute rehabilitation to maximise independence and facilitate discharge from the hospital setting.

This will involve working closely with Therapy colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.


If you have had experience in a Therapy Assistant role, preferably in an Acute setting, and are looking to further develop your career, we would love to hear from you.


You will carry out initial assessments, plan, implement and modify treatment programmes for designated patients from both Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists following initial screening by qualified staff.

You will be supported to develop a greater depth of Occupational Therapy to enable you to support them in performing role specific assessments and discharge planning


You will also carry out supervision and teaching of new members of the TA team and support therapy assistants and therapy students as required.
