Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Barnsley Council as a Children With Disabilities Social Worker. Within this role, you will benefit from £35 per hour rate (umbrella) working with an amazing team.

Within this role you will be responsible for:

Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
Organising/managing packages of support
Organising/managing packages of care
Arranging short breaks
Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
Attending court and giving evidence when required
Initiating Care Proceedings
Completion of Care Proceedings

For this position you will need to hold a recognised social worker qualification and be SWE registered.

Furthermore, it is essential you have 2 years post qualifying experience as you will be expected to work you own case load with hybrid working.
