Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the capital function within the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.


The Post holder will provide a full range of financial accounting and financial management services for capital investments, helping to ensure our fleet, medical equipment and digital infrastructure are fit for purpose to support operations and patient care.


With support from the Business Partner - Capital, the post holder will take a role in managing the Capital Accounting function.

This will include,

Producing the Capital elements of the statutory accounts,

Maintaining the Trust's asset register.

Providing support on investment plans.

The position will also include the oversight of leases in line with IFRS16.

The Assistant Business Partner - Capital will work with a range of managers, including some outside the finance function.

The role will involve the preparation and presentation of information to working groups and committees and ensuring that capital plans are set within budget.

The role is supported by the Business Finance Assistant

  • Capital.
Against this backdrop, the duties and responsibilities of this position fall into three main categories:
Deputising - Supporting the Strategic Business Partner Capital.

Leadership & Development - Managing the Finance Assistant - Capital, and developing staff as required in technical understanding.

Delivery - Supporting the Capital and Lease finance agenda within the Trust.
