Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a
Purchasing Assistant for a business based in Halesowen.

This is a great family ran business which offers excellent exposure to business functions and boasts a great work culture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage overdue purchase orders.
  • Update product ETAs based on supplier and forwarder data, check supplier invoices are correct to purchase orders.
  • Authorise payments with the Accounts Team
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers authorised by the Purchasing Director,
  • Obtain order confirmations for purchase orders sent and review. Respond to enquiries from Sales Support team.
  • Provide Forwarders and Warehouse with stock arrival paperwork before stock arrives in the UK, if applicable.
  • Adhoc requests from Purchasing Director
  • Update Accounts Forecast report, produce, and submit Inbound Stock Report to External Sales team.
  • Review stock and create purchase orders with nominated suppliers.
  • Chase suppliers for updated completion dates for purchase orders and request air freight from suppliers who are late with supply.
  • Hold Goods-In meeting to discuss issues from the week, aiming to clear any issues before the following meeting.
  • Review, submit and authorise import documents to Suppliers, Forwarders, and our Accounts Team.
  • Obtain Supplier Insurance Liability Certificates if ending.

Job Types:

Salary:
£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
