If you are a highly enthusiastic and resilient individual and a strong team player who is able to work a diverse set of stakeholders, we want to hear from you Denholm is pleased to be working with a category-leading drinks business, who are currently lookingto recruit an Impulse Category & Activation Manager to join their team.

The core objective of this role is to deliver the category management principles and brand marketing plans through the distributor and into the end customers.

The key to success is building strong external relationships within its distribution partner.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively share actionable insight to the business and its 3rd-party distribution partner to drive thought-leadership through wholesale, convenience and out of home channels.
  • Increase internal understanding of Impulse, wholesale and out of home channels through regular delivery of shopper and channel insight to the Commercial and leadership teams.
  • In partnership with the sales team, support and drive the delivery of impulse channel plans through the 3rdparty distribution partner.
  • Provide a monthly market insight report to ensure a strong understanding of the activity within the category.
  • Translate brand and NPD selling stories into strong selling tools to enable the sales team to drive the brands through its wide range of customers.
  • Collaborate with the brand team to provide trade marketing guidance and branded materials (digital and print), including the development of POS materials for use in wholesale depots and convenience stores.

Key skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Experienced in FMCG Sales, Category Management, or Channel/Customer Marketing. Food or drink preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial and/or categoryled marketing teams
  • Experience of undertaking customer range reviews
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of using the required data sources e.g., Nielsen or IRI, Kantar.
  • Strong problemsolving skills, with the ability to manipulate data into compelling category advice, which makes commercial sense for the business.
  • Experience developing trade marketing and POS solutions for impulse / wholesale channel.
