Would you like to work for an innovative and progressive charity? Involve Kent aims to improve health and empower people and communities to live well.
Peer Associates improve the experience of children and young people with learning disability, Autism or both, and their families/carers, supporting them to navigate complex care and support systems.
Ideally you will have lived experience from either yourself having autism and/or a learning disability, or parenting/caring for a person with one of these conditions.
You will need excellent communication skills, with a confident ability to access support and advocate for your clients across multiple professions.
Your empathetic nature will enable you to quickly build trusted relationships with families in complex and crisis situations while empowering them to build resilience and robust support networks.
A child-centred approach to delivering high quality personalised care is key, requiring a creative, flexible outlook with a 'can do' attitude.
