We are looking to recruit a talented and energetic teaching professional to provide our students with the education they deserve.

Preparing young people for a happy, healthy and fulfilling future is what it's all about for us. We provide specialist education and care for deaf young people across the United Kingdom. Our students range from 5 to 25 years old and the majority of them also have additional needs. We operate a broad and enriched curriculum, tailored to student's individual needs. Each student is supported to achieve their learning potential as part of our bilingual learning environment.


Key responsibilities:


  • Plan, deliver and assess a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
  • Coordinating timetable to meet individual need, which may include internal and external learning opportunities
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and behaviour within the Academy
  • Plan, deliver and assess a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
through the delivery of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum including bespoke timetables where necessary

  • Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviours, which are expected of students
  • Build good working relationships with the whole team including being able to identify opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them

Key requirements:


  • Able to identify and coordinate other agencies for individual learning plans
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within the Academy and other professionals
  • Ability to use positive behaviour management strategies to ensure best outcomes for individual or a small group of students with SEMH needs
  • Ability to form and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, colleagues, parents and other professionals
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of planning and delivering successful teaching that improves outcomes for individual or small group of learners with SEMH needs
