ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operative (also known as 'WWTP Ops') to join our #WeAreMcCain family.

It would be your role to look after the day to day operation Waste Water Treatment Plant, Biogas Plant, Gas Engine, RO Plant & the Daily SQDC process

This includes:

Conduct daily routine plant checks and analysis including temperatures, oxygen levels, water and gas readings.
Taking samples, testing and analysing results for corrective and regulatory action as required.
Sample taking including samples from the Covered Anaerobic Lake (CAL) and analysing the results and taking regulatory action as required.
Adds bacteria, chemicals and monitors dosing equipment to ensure correct addition

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You might have never worked in a Waste Water Treatment Plant environment before, and that's OK We're quick learners here at McCain, so we can teach you everything you need to know.

However, we are looking for someone who can really make a difference to our plant, who brings experience of working in a team, the ability to work closely with their manager, and who has a real ability to bring people along a change journey with them.

You must also have

A keen eye for continuous improvement and who will strive to find areas to enhance our line operations within our plant.
The ability to work at pace, without jeopardising quality and standards.
A team player who can play towards creating our winning culture.

WHERE WILL I WORK?
You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough.

If you've spotted our three wind turbines, then you'll know where we are With about 350 employees on site, we're one of our largest plants across the GB business.

Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?
This is a shift based role working on average a 42 hour week.

Flexibility to working hours is required as this is a shift support role and you will be required to provide shift cover for team holidays and absences.

As it's a shift based role there is an element of working hours during the day and night as well as weekend hours.
