About us Located on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, UCL East will be dedicated to disruptive thinking and discovery across disciplines and beyond academic walls, to find solutions to the biggest challenges for future living. We are locatedin Newham, east London - one of the most socially diverse parts of the UK - and we want our staff recruitment to reflect this. The Pro-Provost (UCL East) is a senior academic, Professor Paola Lettieri, who provides leadership for the campus across all areasof activity. The post will initially be based at UCL East in Stratford, with some requirement to work from the Bloomsbury campus, near Euston.


About the role This role will involve:

executive support including diary management to the Pro-Provost (UCL East), management of the office, working closely the managers within the team for staff administration and recruitment, providing administrativesupport to some boards and committees, events organisation for a range of events, including booking venues and catering, and liaising with speakers (often high profile) and managing attendance.

The postholder will work closely with UCL East Governance andOperations Administrator, covering for each other during absences.

The postholder may work remotely if they wish, up to two days a week, by arrangement with the line managers.

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificateof sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation.

Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.


About you You are accustomed to managing and prioritising complicated and hectic schedules, and providing dedicated executive assistance to a senior leader, enabling them to function and lead effectively.

In addition to computer literacy andfamiliarity with the MS software suite, you have good interpersonal skills and can tactfully and assertively communicate with others, developing effective, professional working relationships across UCL and externally.

You have a high level of literacy andan excellent standard of written English.

You meet tight individual and group deadlines, manage your own workload, and can present data in a clear and logical format on behalf of others.

A commitment to customer focus is essential, as you will provide an efficient,professional and effective service to the many users and contacts both internally at all levels of the university and externally.

You are discreet and maintain confidentiality when dealing with a variety of student and staff data.
