Events Specialist - 12 Month FTC:
Are you an Events Specialist who enjoys delivering meaningful colleague and client experience through marketing and events, to support the business' goals and objectives?

Do you enjoy working flexibility from home and as part of a team in the office or onsite events? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you:

Aon are looking to recruit an Events Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications Team based in our London or Chelmsford office.

Within this role you will be responsible for the planning and execution of events for Aon and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

What the day will look like:

  • Planning and executing of external and internal events, conferences, hospitality and sponsorships (physical, virtual and hybrid)
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with venues and key external suppliers
  • Engaging with business leaders to understand their business goals and to align our events accordingly
  • Working with our internal communications team to ensure prominent cover of our event activity
  • Communicating with relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of the event progress, logistics and postevent followup
  • Ensuring brand standards are consistently applied across event assets
  • Supporting/managing budget and event compliance approval process
  • Measuring actionable MI and reporting to demonstrate the value of events to the business and use learning's to refine and improve future events
  • Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

    and experience that will lead to success:
  • Previous experience in event management, preferably in a global professional services firm.
  • A team player, with a can do attitude who enjoys working as part of a high performing team, but also has confidence to work independently.
  • Strong written and communications skills with the ability to operate and liaise confidently with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Excellent organisational, problemsolving, negotiation and time management skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in relation to MS Office. Ability to adapt to new technology
  • Willingness to work flexibly and travel within the UK when required
