Are you a Repairs Surveyor who would like to help improve the lives and homes of other people?


Here at Longhurst Group we want to deliver an excellent repairs service while focusing on our vision to improve the lives of our customers and communities.

To achieve this we are looking to hire 3 full time Repairs Surveyors working 36.25hrs per week and 1 x 12 month FTC


We are interested in talking with individuals who may be an Assistant Surveyor now, come from a trade background such as carpentry, labouring, electrical or plumbing that would like to pursue a career in surveying.

We will also consider individuals from an Estate or lettings background with experience of assessing properties.

We would like to hear from individuals who could work within the East of England (Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland)


You will be a key element of our repairs service visiting customers to assess and advise them on repairs to their homes.

You'll need to be confident in building working relationships with both our customers and contractors so we can deliver a heartfelt service remedying any property defects in a timely manner.


With variety in your role, you will help us target and complete repairs to both the homes we own, and to our voids, ensuring these repairs are completed in accordance with our quality standards.

You'll also help to complete surveys relating to energy as well as deploying your knowledge of health and safety and building regulations to help with property compliance checks.


To be successful in this role you'll need to have a passion to help others, experience of working in a trade or prior surveying experience would be desirable.

You will develop or learn in areas such as Construction Design Management regulations and health and safety enabling your to really make a positive difference to people's homes and lives.

You'll need to be comfortable using technology such as tablets and have a high standard of accuracy with your work.

Naturally working with our customers we need to complete pre-employment checks before you join us. This role is conditional upon receipt of two satisfactory references (one from your current employer).

We also need you to tell us what you have been up to as a minimum over the past
5 years in terms of employment history.

This could include carer duties, travel, seeking work, education, employment, training, or volunteering.
