Next Level Security Services are requiring a retail loss prevention officer for a major retailer to travel the Aberdeen area.

MUST HAVE A VALID SIA LICENCE
The shift patterns require flexible working hours which will include a mixture of Days, Weekends and Public/Bank Holidays.

Next Level Security Services are ERS Gold Award holders of the Armed Forces Covenant and will prioritise Ex Forces.


Store Detective Requirements:

  • Must have previous loss prevention and/or retail security experience
  • Must hold a valid Frontline Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection SIA license
  • Must have the ability to travel.
  • Clear communication both written and verbal
  • Punctuality and ability to think on your feet
  • Reliability with excellent timemanagement skills
  • Security systems knowledge
  • Must be able to work with a store team or independently
  • Ability to provide a fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history

As a Store Detective, you will:

  • Prevent, detect and investigate theft and / or malpractice
  • Complete stock loss and civil recovery documentation
  • Undertake covert patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Premises Security protocols
  • Ensure all H&S policies are adhered to
  • In addition to these functions employees are required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct surveillance to detect and apprehend individuals engaged in illegal activities
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent theft
  • Investigate incidents of theft or misconduct and prepare detailed reports
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries or concerns
  • Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize risk

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Loss Prevention Officer or similar role
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Excellent observation and surveillance skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interacting with team members and customers
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectivelyAs a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and customers. You will be responsible for detecting and preventing theft, conducting investigations, and providing exceptional customer service.
