You & Me Supported Living is a Supported Living provider for adults with a variety of learning difficulties. We have 8 houses in Banbury and Chipping Norton, with 3-4 adults living in each house.
Staff provide care in our houses 24/7, and work with our housemates to enable them to live fulfilling, independent lives.

Overall responsibilities of a Team Leader
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support 7-8 housemates who live in 2 of our Banbury houses.
You will lead and manage a team of Personal Assistants, working together to ensure housemates are safe, well cared for, and having fun.
Our housemates may need support with money, with relationships, with employment or education, with personal care, or social activities. You will ensure this support is being delivered, according to the care plans of our housemates, at all times.What we're looking for in a Team Leader:

You are happy to participate in a variety of activities to support our housemates
You are flexible and enthusiastic with good written and verbal communication skills
You are independent and able to work alone using your own initiative
You are able to build positive relationships with both clients, support workers and the leadership team
You have experience of caring for adults with learning disabilities and autism
You have previously worked in a Supported Living or Domiciliary environment
You have a full driving licence, and preferably access to a vehicle which you are happy to use to transport out clients
You have good knowledge of CQC and legislative requirements
You hold a recognised care qualification at Level 3 or above (or are qualified by experience to a similar level)
You will be available to work a mixture of daytime, evening, night and weekend shifts
Detailed Team Leader Job Description
Staffing
- Hold monthly supervisions, highlighting both the positive aspects of care, as well as addressing any areas for development.
- Monitor and record all absences, complete return to work interviews and manage problematic absence using the absence management framework
- Hold annual appraisals with staff, identify opportunities for developing staff where appropriate, use the performance management framework to address any performance concerns
- Recruit new team members, lead in interviews where required, involve housemates in interviews where possible.
- Induct new staff members thoroughly ensuring they are competent to meet the needs of the housemates. Complete 1, 3, and 6 month reviews to ensure any issues and learning opportunities are identified
- Ensure all training is kept up to date
- Manage rotas to ensure all staff meet their contracted hours, fill open shifts and allocate overtime effectively, manage annual leave requests
- Develop PAs within your houses ensuring that they have opportunities to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
Clients & Families
- Conduct monthly house meetings to ensure houses run smoothly and all housemates views are considered
- Update housemate's risk assessments as needed
- Keep housemate's support plans up to date and involve the Registered Manager where necessary.
- Safeguard housemates by ensuring that all Personal Assistants are familiar with support plans and have completed all mandatory training
- Audit Log My Care records to ensure that tasks are being completed correctly, and all activities are recorded
- Monitor 1:1 hours to ensure all 1:1 hours are being offered and used appropriately
- Ensure all suspected or disclosed abuse is reported immediately to the Registered Manager and/or the Safeguarding Lead
- Communicate effectively with housemate's families providing updates and discussing concerns
- Provide care to housemates in line with their support plans when required
- Support housemates on a 1:1 basis in line with their support plans when required
Supporting the house
- Where necessary, carry out tasks e.g. cleaning, gardening etc to ensure the house runs smoothly
- Support housemates to manage their home, manage their money, and look after their environment
