Fixed Term Contract

£30,000 - £35,000 + Pension + BUPA + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday + Hybrid Working (2 days per week in the office)

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities:


  • Managing and executing the full recruitment lifecycle
  • Work as a business partner, building specialist knowledge about your business area(s), and the roles you're recruiting for and develop an understanding of the external market to create attraction strategies
  • Provide proactive and efficient solutions by identifying the best sourcing and attraction channels for current and future vacancies
  • Provide expertise to ensure better hiring decisions by building a high level of market awareness, best practice, and knowledge of recruitment trends.
  • Maintain our SLAs and quality through effective partnerships with suppliers, setting them up for success and ensuring the best commercial outcome for B&Q (e.g. terms of business)
  • Promote the B&Q employer brand message through great relationships with the Employer Brand team and effective attraction plans
  • Own the recruitment plan for every vacancy through a highquality vacancy briefing
  • Deliver great quality shortlists through detailed and focused prescreening (e.g. telephone interviews)
  • Empower hiring managers to stay focused on their day job by owning the key steps in the recruitment process e.g., scheduling, selection events and feedback
  • Drive compliance and data integrity by maintaining and updating the ATS and other relevant systems
  • Engage and empower peers to develop the recruitment expertise and knowledge in the team to ensure we're all at our best
  • Protect our colleagues through the support of business change activity and recruitment led projects (to include CV and interview coaching)

Required skills & experience

  • Full 360 cycle recruitment experience; delivering effective recruitment campaigns and solutions to meet business needs within agreed SLA's and timescales
  • Ability to confidently and constructively challenge and influence stakeholders around selection decisions and recruitment best practice
  • Previous experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships with a consultative and collaborative approach
  • Previous experience working within a fastpaced environment
  • Use insights, data, and expertise to educate stakeholders and inform decision making
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Experience of supporting business change and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Customer focused as the custodian of the customer experience
  • Continuous improvement mindset. Able to act on initiative, identify opportunities and proactive in putting forward ideas & solutions
