    Description

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (GLCR) team in London. As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive legal advice to colleagues and functions across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as the main point of contact for the London-based Specialty business leadership on legal matters involving the specialty businesses.
    • Anticipate and advise on a wide variety of legal risks associated with AIG's Specialty operations.
    • Draft and review various types of agreements, including DUA, TOBAs, Facility Agreements, Claims Handling Agreements and Binding Agreements.
    • Advise on product-related legal matters, including ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide advice on agency and other distribution issues, remuneration structures and associated areas of law.

    Requirements

    • A qualified lawyer in good standing with a minimum 5-7 years of legal experience with a major law firm or a global insurer.
    • Hands-on experience managing and supporting business clients on global, specialty, or international insurance and reinsurance legal and regulatory matters.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration.
