We have an exciting opportunity for aAdministrator to join our team, based in
London. You will be working on a
part-time, temporary basis until 31st December 2023 initially
(30 hours per week). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£27,000- 29,000 pa pro rata.

St Luke's is an established and award-winning charity providing services, community events and projects in the vibrant Old Street area of south Islington.
At the heart of what we do is a large modern community centre that welcomes thousands of visits each year.
The Administrator role:
As our
Administrator, you will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks within St Luke's Services Team supporting the Services Manager in the planning and delivery of a range of high quality community services, events and activities.
The Services Team currently comprises:
community engagement, an Over 55's service, a wellbeing hub, business engagement and employability support, a cookery school and a newly developing gardening/food growing programme.
Responsibilities of our Administrator will include:
- Providing effective, professional and confident administrative support to the Services Team ensuring the smooth running of services, events and activities delivered from St Luke's and the local neighbourhood
- Overseeing the maintenance and development of St Luke's membership system, assist with updating volunteer handbooks and policies and data inputting
- To support the Services Team with the evaluation and monitoring of services including coordinating and compiling feedback to demonstrate impacts in line with annual KPIs
- Liaising with the Comms Team and service leads to promote publicity materials to groups and individuals including the use of social media
- Implementing and overseeing an effective booking and registration system and monitor and report on class/activity attendance and follow up with attendees/tutors/partners as required
- Assisting the delivery of St Luke's community outreach programme identifying isolated people living locally and promoting activities and support
- Maintaining manual and computer based records creating efficient and appropriate systems for managing personal data
- Overseeing and assisting in the upkeep of the facilities and equipment by reporting defects or issues as necessary
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities we are looking for in our ideal Administrator:
- Outstanding organisational, administrative and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently with a range of people
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work comfortably under pressure within a busy environment
- Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and Power Point
- An understanding of how race, sex, age and other issues are relevant when providing support to users and in all dealings with staff, trustees, clients and other individuals
- The ability to anticipate problems, design solutions, take initiative and be creative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- The ability to work flexibly including weekends and evening work
