Description

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and enjoyment of users in health and fitness facilities.
• Promote excellence in customer service and motivate people to exercise through effective communication and sales skills.
• Manage all aspects of daily operations for the Shapemaster Suite.
• Drive the Innerva/Wellness Hub brand, adhering to operational and sales procedures.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for the gym as needed.
• Oversee Goodboost sessions, including bookings and facilitation.
• Work with the Fitness manager to implement exercise referral schemes within the community, supporting the NHS.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals to promote Activity for Health schemes in leisure centers.
• Collaborate with the Council's Public Health and WellBeing Team to promote health-related schemes.

Key Tasks:

• Work on a shift rota system to manage daily facility operations.
• Conduct Inductions, Fitness Assessments, and Personal Programmes according to the Innerva brand.
• Maintain awareness of Health and Safety issues, implementing and assessing procedures.
• Guide and assist fitness users in motivation, well-being, nutrition, and fitness testing.
• Contribute to achieving income and sales targets for the shapemaster and fitness facility.
• Ensure the health and fitness facilities are clean, tidy, and well-presented.
• Perform maintenance work as required.
• Secure equipment and facilities when not in use.
• Undertake reasonable requests to support daily center operations.
• Develop strong partnerships with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG's) and healthcare professionals.
• Liaise with exercise referral scheme coordinators to promote schemes throughout their locality.
• Engage with GP's and other Health Professionals to ensure continued referrals to Activity for Health Schemes.
• Collaborate with the Council to jointly promote health-related schemes.
• Maintain up-to-date scheme literature and distribute necessary supplies to GP Practices and Secondary Care professionals.
• Deliver presentations and talks to various audiences.

Requirements:

• Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented individual.
• Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
• Variable hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Desirable: Level 3 exercise referral qualification, Level 4 referral qualifications.
