Who we're looking for
As the Performing Arts Lead you will lead on the embedding performing arts in Star schools.

You will lead on fostering trust-wide and local partnerships with arts organisations that can connect into the Star school offer.

You will also provide targeted support to a small number of schools to ensure the complete integration of performing arts.

This might involve support with putting on productions, redesign of the after school offer, training for staff and other activities that could benefit the school.


In this pivotal role, you'll champion the growth of creativity, cultural enrichment, and social mobility among Star pupils, while also enhancing community cohesion in the communities these schools engage with.

Your role will be both internally and externally oriented, requiring your presence in schools as well as engagement with cultural institutions, ultimately shaping a well-rounded performing art experience.


You will have:


  • Track record in building impactful partnerships in the field of performing arts.
  • Knowledge of best practices in embedding performing arts in schools.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of cultural education in promoting social mobility and building cultural capital.
  • Experience of working with young people and schools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including schools, arts organisations, parents, and pupils.
