At Sodexo we recognise the incredibly important role all of our technicians play in keeping our business running and we have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the operation
You'll be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the electrical systems on site, ensuring the safety of the network and cables to support the daily operations.
Working throughout Central Scotland - Glasgow/Edinburgh/Fife
Main assignments
Undertake maintenance PPM's and reactive activity, to a wide range of Electrical Building Services equipment including but not limited to general electrics, lighting, calorifiers, boilers, pumps and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises.
To work within a shift system to provide a core presence at client sites within an extended weekday period.
Be aware of H&S, and work in accordance with the Permit to Work System and Safe Systems of Work
Use of IT systems (including Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system
Support all other service lines where required out with your core skillset
Mandatory overtime one weekend in five to cover out of hours PPM's/reactive works and host contractors
A few things about you
To keep our services "buzzing" you'll bring your experience as an established electrical technician.
You must be able to read electrical systems, design plans and recommend improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment.

Fully Qualified and Certified Electrician (Min 18th Edition)
Minimum 5 years' experience
Experience of PPM, reactive and installation work
Good computer skills (MS Office, PDA's etc)
Driving Licence and own transport required
Physically fit as lifting may be involved & must be able to work in restricted spaces
A good knowledge of health and safety
Ability to handle tools correctly and safely
Desirable
PASMA/IPAF trained
PAT Certification
IOSH Certification
L8/Asbestos Awareness
Previous experience of a Permit to Work system
