Description

The main responsibilities of an Accounts Trainee is to complete all assigned tasks which may include different duties within the accounts team.

This role will help you gain knowledge of operations within the accounts team.

As a trainee you will embed into a strategic and operational delivery of a challenging accounts agenda to Dunkley's clientele.

You will be mentored and supported to help ensure you have all the skills needed, whilst working collaboratively with other stakeholders to deliver an excellent standard of projects, whilst providing constructive feedback to facilitate the department's growth.

About you:


The successful applicant must:

  • Undertake professional training with AAT/ICAEW/ACCA
  • Assist with yearend accounts preparation as directed by other staff.
  • Prepare and draft tax returns for corporate and private clients.
  • Analyse bank account transactions and bank reconciliations for yearend accounts.
  • Take ownership of allocated tasks and be aware of deadlines for work being carried out.
  • Be in contact with clients.

About you:


  • Interact well with clients and other staff members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organisation.
  • Strong mathematical and administrative skills.
  • Work independently but also as part of a team and help others when required.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Assist with yearend accounts preparation as directed by other staff.

Further Responsibilities

  • Proper evidence of timely review of files.
  • Monitoring planning and file sign offs.
  • Booking senior audit & compliance managers time to sign off projects.
  • High level of client contacts and onsite attendance.
  • Agreement of timings and meeting deadlines.
