Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled part time Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Providing a competitive, industry wide salary range between £27,000 to £30,000 per annum - dependent on experience. This will be pro-rata'd to 20 hours.


Duties:

• Working closely with our Finance Director to create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance
• Process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices
• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage
• Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
• Reconcile credit cards
• Create payment files for suppliers
• Maintain excel reconciliations

Ultimately, the Bookkeeper's responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our group of companies.


Requirements and skills:

• Proven bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
