Cognitive Wellness CIC are recruiting for a Psychological Well-being Practitioner (PWP)


A Psychological Well-being Practitioner (PWP) is a mental health professional who plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals experiencing common mental health issues.


Their job description typically includes:

Assessment:

conduct initial assessments and screenings to determine the psychological needs of clients, often focusing on issues like anxiety, depression, and stress.


Evidence-Based Interventions:

deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and guided self-help, to help clients manage their mental health concerns.


Psychoeducation:
educate clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-help strategies to improve their understanding of their condition.

Monitoring Progress:
Track and monitor the progress of clients throughout their treatment, adjusting interventions as necessary.

Risk Assessment:

Assess and manage any potential risks to clients, such as self-harm or harm to others, and coordinate with other professionals when necessary.


Collaborative Care:

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers.


Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and confidential client records is a crucial part of the job to ensure continuity of care.

Evaluation and Outcome Measurement:
Use various tools and questionnaires to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and measure the impact on clients' well-being.

Client Support:
Offer emotional support and empathetic listening to clients is an essential part of the role.

Self-Care and Continuing Education:

Prioritize their own well-being and engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest treatment approaches and research.


Salary:
£27,055.00 per year
