Unique School Solutions are working with a partner Specialist School in Rotherham (S60) to recruit a Classroom Support Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil in their engaging and welcoming primary school.

This is a full-time, term time only position to start as soon as possible.

Initially this role will be temporary for a period of 12 weeks but made permanent following the successful completion of this probation.

The hours for this role are 9.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday term time only.


Applications are welcomed from those that have worked within the health and social care sectors supporting individuals with additional needs.

Graduates with previous experience supporting children and young people are also welcome to apply.


This position is working within a specialist school for children with SEND and physical disabilities on a 1:1 basis to support the student to access learning.

This role may require providing some personal care, full training will be provided on site.

Experience in ADHD, Autism, and supporting people with complex needs is advantageous.

About the role:

  • Supporting teaching and learning following the school's curriculum
  • To work in partnership with class teacher to ensure the very best standard of education is delivered to the children
  • To support children with learning on a 1:1 basis
  • To liaise with external agencies and parent/carers when required
  • To be part of the wider school community when required
