Role overview


The lounge will sell a wide range of food and drink through a simplified model without the need for extensive kitchen and food preparation facilities.

Food will be prepared on site.


Reporting to the The Lounge Manager, a member of the Lounge is responsible for the 'front of counter' operation of the café and viewing areas ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, safety and customer service.


Key responsibilities of theLounge include:

  • Front of counter delivery of food and drink to customers including the operation of beantocup coffee machines, oven fryer, panini grill and hob
  • Operation of chip and pin machines and an EPOS cash till including the handling of cash payments.
  • Keeping the counter and storage areas clear, wellorganised and easy to use.
  • Keeping the clubhouse and viewing areas clear and tidy with tables routinely cleared and cleaned in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Raising any maintenance or significant cleaning issues to the Assistant Manager.
  • Ensuring that a personal full understanding is maintained about menus, offers and other operational information.
  • Assisting in the delivery of parties or other events
  • Promoting and practising relevant health and safety, food hygiene and fire safety standards.
  • Assisting in maintaining effective stock control, storage and rotation to minimise wastage.
  • Compliance with all organisational policies and procedures, including those for cash and stock handling.
  • To undertake any other duties as deemed necessary to assist in the day to day running of the Clubhouse

This position includes:

  • Shift work; regular Evening/Weekend/Bank Holiday working will be required.
  • Work regularly involves lifting and working at height.
  • Work can involve dealing with dust and dirt, chemicals, noise and occasionally dealing with injured people.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is required very occasional activities involving latenight events.
  • Staff must wear uniform provided.
Food hygiene certificate not essential but prefered, cooking skills and knowledge also prefered.


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£9.50-£10.50 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:


Staff can wear masks when serving customers and at busy times during the day when in public areas, LAT flow tests to be completed twice per week.
