Lead Holistic Employment Assessor


Location:
Cambridge


Salary:
£30,000 - £34,400 (pro rata dependent upon days)


Type:
Part Time - Permanent (Full time applicants may also be considered)


The role:

The Lead Assessor will have a split role;

  • 50% Leading and developing a team of Assessors ensuring a high level of quality and contractual compliance.
  • 50% Carrying out holistic online/telephone/face to face assessments with individuals, referred from the DWP who have a physical or mental health condition or disability, offering enhanced support to find or stay in employment. Building rapid trust and rapport to identify barriers keeping them from the workplace, and make recommendations and adjustments to support their return to the work place.

Duties:


  • Leading and developing a team of Assessors ensuring a high level of quality and contractual compliance.
  • Undertake 1 hour remote assessments with individuals referred from DWP this will be the only contact you will have with the individual, so ability to build rapid trust and rapport is essential
  • Identifying barriers keeping them from employment and sensitively recommend solutions ensuring that the participant feels involved and consulted during the process.
  • Sensitively assess complex individual needs in relation to wide range of conditions, and conduct fact finding surrounding barriers and difficulties in the workplace or adjustments needed.
  • Prepare a comprehensive written report of the findings and specific recommendations on suitable adjustments.
  • Work closely with suppliers and partners obtaining quotations for required needs.

Essential Criteria:


  • Minimum 2 years experience in an equivalent role
- assessing complex needs.

  • Ideally have experience of supporting / managing a team.
  • Experience of supporting individuals with the following needs to include; Visual, Hearing, Learning Difficulties, Neurodiversity and Muscular Skeletal.
  • Educated to degree level in related Health discipline such as Occupational Health/Therapist, Nursing, Physio, Psychology.
  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent IT skills and be happy to undertake remote assessments online
  • Access to own vehicle
