    Investment Director - PE Funds & Co-Investment

    Business Area: Private Markets

    • Job Summary:
    • We are seeking an experienced Investment Director to lead the underwriting, monitoring and management of indirect Private Equity investments (funds and co-investments), as well as coordination and oversight of the approach to indirect investments across PMG.

    About the Role:

    • Lead PE co-investment and PE fund underwritings directly, and have direct responsibility for a number of key GP/sponsor relationships.
    • Participate in portfolio management by recommending solutions and suggesting changes to portfolio construction.
    • Represent USS on limited partner advisory boards and within industry.
    • Proactively participate in operational aspects of PMG and suggest improvements.
    • Assist with managing operations including scheduling meetings and communicating outcomes.
    • Assist the PE team with fund monitoring reports and provide line management to Analysts.

    About You:

    • Extensive experience of private equity funds as a principal.
    • Extensive knowledge of and relationships in the private equity community.
    • A thorough understanding of partnership agreements.
    • Excellent financial modelling skills and strong understanding of company valuation techniques.
    • A degree in finance related subject from a top-tier university, or a post graduate qualification.
    • Ability to manage teams to deliver high quality work under constrained timelines.
    • Competent at prioritisation, process organisation, and management of multiple workstreams.

    Salary: We offer a competitive salary ranging from £120,000 to £180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
