Description
Role Purpose:
- To ensure effective and consistent delivery of apprenticeships, meeting the requirements of the Education Inspection Framework, funding agency requirements and where relevant
- Awarding Organisation standards.
- Support Apprenticeship Development Coaches to achieve their full potential and deliver programmes within their remit of responsibility to an excellent standard.
- Plan, conduct and record sampling activities, observations and support sessions to ensure ongoing Apprenticeship Development Coach progression & development.
- Contribute to the Apprenticeship Development Coach performance review in a format depending on individual needs, feeding back on riskbandings, sampling, observations, any other QA activity, achievements, challenges and areas for development.
Main Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage standardised sampling plans for ADC reviews and assessment activity where relevant.
- Lead on standardisation activities for all practices that form part of the learner review and qualifications which form part of their sampling plan where relevant
- Undertake ADC observations and support visits in line with MetaGedu QA strategy and Observation Policy
- Ensure all QA documentation is completed adhering to MetaGedu standards and where relevant; those of the Awarding Organisation.
- Maintain the integrity of all programmes by ensuring any suspected malpractice or maladministration are followed up and addressed
- Support the curriculum development team in the development of curriculum in line with apprenticeship delivery to support curriculum intent and employer requirements.
- Work in collaboration with the Head of Quality to review teaching and learning. resources to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
- Implement and monitor the Teaching and Learning Strategy.
- Contribute to the evaluation of the Teaching and Learning Policy.
- Attend relevant meetings to inform continuous improvement and curriculum Development.
- Disseminate monthly information on crosscutting themes to ROMs and senior leadership
- Maintain up to date resources on relevant apprenticeship systems
- Monitor the recording of progress and milestones towards achievement for all elements of the apprenticeship and follow through to final certification including:
- Sampling of OTJ to ensure it is accurate and sufficient in line with the plan
- Sampling of electronic portfolios to check they are regularly updated and an accurate reflection of each learner's progress
- Sampling of contract paperwork and support in the upskilling of staff to ensure compliance.
- Support ADC's and learners in the Gateway and EPA process including mock assessments
- Support employer with the mentoring of apprentices.
- Provide regular updates to ROM's around issues and concerns
Requirements:
Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Experience of working in an IQA role quality assuring process
- Knowledge of Safeguarding
- Working with, understanding and motivating young people
- Understanding of apprenticeship routes and process
- IQA qualification
- Excellent time management
- Experience using learner management and electronic portfolio systems
- Full driving licence
- Enhanced DBS
Desirable
- CE-IAG qualification
- EPA qualification
