We looking to recruit new team members to the Mainstream Schools team. The positions have become available due internal promotion.

We are a team working collaboratively in schools providing a high-quality service to children with a range of special educational needs.

We provide SLT to children and young people

at SEN support and with EHCPs in Brent primary schools

with EHCPs in secondary and FE settings

with EHCPs who attend out of borough schools

The assessment of CYP with a range of speech, language and communication needs including

  • DLD, ASD, speech, selective mutism.


Working directly with children in groups and individually, as well as offering advice and strategies to school staff and parents.

Liaising with parents and other professionals

Providing training for your allocated schools

To assess the need for, develop and implement Speech and Language Therapy treatment to children referred within CLCH with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties attending mainstream schools

To analyse auditory, visual and kinaesthetic aspects of children's communication and to identify appropriate strategies to facilitate and enhance communicative effectiveness in the home, school and other relevant setting

To monitor all aspects of parent/teacher interactions with children. In particular, to simultaneously monitor auditory, visual and kinaesthetic aspects of dyadic interactions, encouraging adaptive strategies to maximise effective communication

To make appropriate clinical decisions following assessment, using evidence-based practice and outcome measurement to provide the most effective treatment to children and their families within clearly defined care plans

To make a differential diagnosis based on evidence from assessment seeking advice as appropriate
