Sitting within the
LNG trading team based in London, the Commercial Operations are responsible for the successful management of cargo operations, as well as
LNG Regas optimisation and nominations for our long-term and spot deals.

You will provide end to end commercial operations and logístical support to the SEFE Trading teams and be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the timely implementation and execution of commercial transactions to ensure that all obligations arising from the
LNG contracts are met and carried out professionally.

LNG trading team based in London, the Commercial Operations are responsible for the successful management of cargo operations, as well as
LNG Regas optimisation and nominations for our long-term and spot deals.

You will provide end to end commercial operations and logístical support to the SEFE Trading teams and be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the timely implementation and execution of commercial transactions to ensure that all obligations arising from the
LNG contracts are met and carried out professionally.


This requires working closely with traders and our gas desk to maximise the value-add for profitable operations and minimize the profit leakage from the flexibility and optionality embedded in the
LNG contracts.

Commercial Operations are also involved in supporting the development of projects and new contracts with together our origination team.

In addition to cargo operations, this incumbent may be expected to cover shipping operations and be able to operate
LNG ships under SEFE's responsibility working closely with the chartering team.

What you will do?

  • Ensure that all commercial and operational obligations/nominations arising from the contracts are carried out, and that any necessary requirements are complied with.
  • Deal with cargo/freight counterparties and terminals on a regular basis regarding all pre and post deal activities.
  • Appoint independent inspectors and expeditors and be able to investigate and resolve matters relating to
    LNG quantity and quality.
  • Manage Gas send out and
    LNG delivery schedules and operational programmes together with the Gas team within Europe.
  • Ensure that all operational information is entered timely and accurately into inhouse trading systems.
  • Execute timely cargo invoicing, reconciliations and clearances of accruals for both external and internal deals.
  • Liaise with counterparts and support the team to ensure smooth operations, avoid delays and minimise demurrage costs.
What you'll bring to the role?

  • Prior
    LNG experience working in a trading environment and managing risk
  • Selfmotivated, with an aptitude for accurate problem solving in a very time critical environment
  • Proficient English required and at least one further European language desirable (French or German preferred)
  • Very strong attention to detail and delivery focused.
  • Very strong commercial judgement, excellent analytical skills and able to make accurate decisions and ability to handle a stressful environment.
  • Ability to work effectively on short notice and out of hours.
  • Degree educated in shipping/trading or finance/science
