Our client is an amazing internationally recognised values driven organisation seeking a n Interim Senior Innovation Manager to join their team on a maternity cover contract of 9-12 months.

This is a full time hybrid position, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm,with the flexibility to choose the days you wish to work from their stunning offices in Oxfordshire.

Reporting into the Marketing Director, you will develop and support the delivery of a 3-year innovation roadmap to deliver against the client's overall businessstrategy.

This exciting and varied role will include the following key responsibilities:

  • Set the strategic insights vision for the company annually against the objectives of the total business strategy.
  • Managing external agencies for the execution of research projects and ensuring you are getting the most out of the set budgets.
  • Support the team on writing insight briefs, identifying ideal methodologies and providing oversight on the data collection process and analytic work plan to ensure all available information is generated to support business needs.
  • Champion the consumer and retailer internally and externally by constantly looking at current and future trends, needs and challenges.
  • Scan the market for potential manufacturers that align to the client's strategy
  • Work collaboratively with current manufacturing partners to develop a menu card of existing and potential capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to lead innovation sessions with manufacturers and feed outputs into brand planning and strategy setting.
  • Develop and embed an innovation strategy that enables everyone within the company to think differently and innovate.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Managers and Technical Team) to develop a 23year innovation roadmap that aligns to and shapes the total business strategy, mission and marketing strategy
  • Own the innovation funnel process from idea generation to concept development ensuring the right discussions are happening at the right time and in the right level of detail
  • Work crossfunctionally to translate big picture thinking into 'topdown', commercially viable concepts to go into the Pipeline
  • Manage concepts all the way to gateway then act as support to Portfolio Managers in implementation.
The skills, experience and qualities needed for the role:

  • Solid Innovation Strategy development experience
  • Experience of commissioning and using insight to develop compelling product propositions
  • Be truly business minded in your approach to ideation and concept development
  • Naturally creative, with an imaginative approach to innovation, product development and problem solving
  • Great commercial skills with the ability to analyse P+Ls and make informed decisions
  • The ability to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrable ability to live and breathe the client's sustainable and inclusive values
