Main responsibilities as our Junior Administrator will include:

  • Undertaking administrative duties in the office and support the administrative aspects of the Laboratory of Cellular Pathology Services (CPS)
  • Supporting and performing laboratory processes under the supervision of Biomedical Science (BMS) staff, in a timely manner in compliance with department policies and procedures
  • Assisting Pathologists, Biomedical scientists, and other members of the team in ensuring efficient and effective operation of the service
  • Performing all administrative activities to a high standard and ensure accuracy and quality is always maintained
  • Performing scanning of digital slides

Skills and experience we are looking for in our Junior Administrator:

  • Little or no administration experience
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and to prioritise daily workload
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills
  • Understanding of confidentiality and dealing with sensitive information appropriately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word & Excel)
  • Flexible and be able to meet changing business requirements
  • Need own transport as the site is not accessible by public transport
  • Self-Motivated, Initiative, organised with "Can Do" attitude
