About the role
The Head of Facilities Management and Real Estate role sits within UK&I Procurement Department which reports ultimately into Global Procurement.
The role has a solid reporting line into the UK&I Director of Central and Indirect Services within the UK Global Business Unit (GBU) and a dotted line into the relevant part of our Global organisation with whom we are fully aligned.
The Head of Facilities Management and Real Estate role covers an extensive range of services including Building Maintenance and Repair, Utilities, Postage and Couriers, and Real Estate, (including lease, ownership, build, rates and consultancy).
The role is strategically important to the successful delivery of both Atos central function performance and reducing the required cost base for the UK&I Business, as well as delivering client-specific projects where appropriate.
The role requires cross-functional working with many different areas of the UK&I business thus developing an extensive range of stakeholder relationships.
The Head of Facilities Management and Real Estate has responsibility for a team overseeing day-to-day procurement activities, developing and improving the subarea procurement strategy to achieve corporate growth and OM targets to the UK&I GBU.
Roles and responsibilitiesTogether with the UK&I Director of Central and Indirect Services, UK&I Chief Procurement Officer, Global Category Director, and Global Lead Buyers if any, identify, integrate and realise global and local actions applicable to the subarea;
Ensure integration of purchasing activities of the subarea with other functions and operations in GBU;
Contribute to the Global purchasing network by participating in or leading purchasing teams and actions within subarea. Share and integrate best practises;
Define local purchasing strategies and actions and ensure compliance to achieve TCO savings, risk management and value creation inside GBU;
Perform Strategic Supplier management in accordance with the SSM discipline as per SSM Business Manuals, where required.
