GSL Education is currently looking for a well-qualified SEMH (Social, emotional, and mental health) Teaching Assistant for our client SEN schools based in Tower Hamlets.

The schools cater for Children and Young People with Autism, SEMH, Attachment Disorder, Challenging Behaviour and LAC. If you have an understanding of SEND and are a calm, friendly and creative individual who wants to make a positive difference in students' lives, this is a perfect role for you

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

Encourage all students to learn and motivate them to reach their maximum potential
Establish a good working relationship with all children, acting as a role model
Challenge and support the progress of all pupils
Have the right to work in the UK
Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks
Be committed to safeguarding
Be adaptable, enthusiastic and enjoy working with young people of all backgrounds
Prior experience in aiding children with additional needs in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
