Job description

Oxford City Council is leading the City's response to the Climate Emergency.

Taking the lead from the City's Climate Change Citizen Assembly the Council will be adopting a challenging net zero target.

We are looking for a passionate, capable and dynamic project officer to join our Environmental Sustainability team and play a leading role in making net zero target happen.

This opportunity will support the delivery of key projects and programmes in the low-carbon and zero-carbon space.

Current projects include development of energy saving and renewable energy schemes and the city-wide roll-out of heat pumps supporting the creation of a low-carbon economy.

You will be involved in delivering communications materials and events, supporting the management of energy data, preparing and maintaining critical project management documentation, and delivering discrete project work in collaboration with teams across the Council.

The Environmental Sustainability Team accelerates city-wide sustainability and is on the front line in responding to the Council's declared Climate Emergency.

This role requires commitment, focus and energy. If that sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
