Scala Spark Developer

Location:
London (Location 3 days in London office & 2 days remote - No flexibility)

6+ years of hands-on development experience on Scala and Spark on cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
We are looking for Cloud Software Engineer - Scala / Azure Cloud to:

Design and develop high quality software solutions for Market Risk platform
Improve performance of Calculation Engine
Develop proof of concepts using new technologies
Implement scalable solutions to meet the ever increasing data volumes, using Scala, big data/cloud technologies Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microsoft Azure Cloud computing etc.
Migrate onprem apps or build new Apps into Azure Cloud (or) using Big Data Technologies i.e. Azure Data Lakes, Spark, Scala, Python, Java, Azure Data Factory, Azure Batch

Your expertise:

Handson experience as a software engineer in a globally distributed team working with Scala programming language
Handson expertise with Spark/Scala, HDFS, Hive
Experience with bigdata technologies Spark/Databricks and Hadoop/ADLS is a must
Experience in any one of the cloud platform Azure (preferred), AWS or Google
Experience building data lakes and data pipelines in cloud using Azure and Databricks or similar tools
Proficient with code version control systems, such as Git/TFS
Practice with Unix command line tools
RDBMS fundamentals
